Xander Smith – singer, guitarist, songwriter. Native of Los Angeles by way of middle/high school in Phoenix, AZ and San Francisco.  He decided to give up on track and field when he first heard U2’s “Unforgettable Fire.” After graduating UCLA with a degree in Philosophy, he jumped straight into indie rock bands, playing music on the club/college circuit. On a tour opening for Queens of the Stone Age, Smith decided to start a band that took that Eno/Lanois influence, adding bits of Black Sabbath, Television, Smashing Pumpkins and Love & Rockets. He arrived at RUN RUN RUN, where he currently resides as ringleader.

Fall 2012, Smith completed his first solo tour in support of debut solo record, “Hey San Pedro.” The tour was funded by fans who raised nearly $10,000 on kickstarter (amazon) and sponsored several shows in the U.S. and Europe. Smith was music director at LA’s infamous glam Club Makeup which hosted Linda Perry, The Cult, Ice – T, Marilyn Manson, Alexis Arquette, Ann Magnuson, Richard O’Brian and G n’ R’s Gilby Clarke and has played his gibson guitar for Other Star People (A&M records), as well as backing up legendary singers Rickie Lee Jones, Dee Dee Ramone, The Runaways, The Nymph’s Inger Lorie, and even Adam Lambert. He is currently also now an acoustic solo artist, and playing guitar with Monte PIttman (Madonna/Adam Lambert) and Tranz-Kunt-Inental or officially known as Tranzkontinental- a mash up cover band fronted by celebs and drag queens.
